Get Well Kurt!
By now most of you know that CISS President, Kurt Ristow, was recently injured in a motor scooter accident in Bristol, Tennesee. He is home now and hopefully resting comfortably. A card, call or email just might help the aches and pains from his many broken bones. Speedy recovery Kurt!

MOST IMPORTANT CLUB MEETING
In lieu of recent events, the future of CISS at Terry Airport is at hand. This club operates only from what you as members put back into it. Come to the membership meeting at 7:00p.m. this Thursday, September 18th at LEPPERT AND HENSLEY. Find out what problems we face and what you think we should do about them. The future of the club depends on your input.

SAY HELLO TO OUR NEW SSA REGION 6 DIRECTOR!
By now many of you have probably have heard that our very own DAVE NEWILL was voted in as SSA Region 6 Director. Dave is grateful to all who helped make this possible. He is also looking for someone to replace him as Operations Director for the club now that he is taking on new responsibilities.

CONGRATULATIONS DAVE!!!

Attention Crew Chiefs/DOs
Thanks for all you do for CISS. Keep up the good work! In order to maintain both Crew Chief and Treasurer work at a high standard, please continue and/or incorporate the following:

1. PRINT large clear log entries with PEN, no pencil. (What? The Treasurer has old eyes? You bet!) DATE flight logs. COMPLETE all entries, including altitudes and times. CIRCLE tow plane for each flight. RECORD guest ride names.

2. Accept payment for guest rides ONLY when ride can be completed same date. No payments for future rides: better weather, have-to-leave, how about next week, etc. USE ENVELOPE and repeat (print) name of guest in white space of envelope.

3. Use blank ENVELOPE provided on or near Clubhouse box to deposit and describe cash/checks. No loose cash/checks and/or payments paper-clipped to scrap paper. No cash sales of printed materials; members to be billed. No requests for credit to member account for change made out-of-pocket to guest for ride. Your donation of overage/change will be accepted as a donation to CISS with thanks.

4. DO NOT PERMIT rides by Associate members. They do not have flying privileges. A list of current members will be placed in log recording box.

5. Report crew absences directly and promptly to Dave Newill, Operations.

Aren't good procedures fun? Thanks to all for your help!

– Jim White, CISS Treasurer
