Return
To Kitty Hawk Accolades
Firstly many
thanks to all the club members and to Montgomery Aviation for the
exceptional hospitality to the RTKH pilots and crews during the
stop over at Terry. I really feel privileged to have been able to
participate in this historic event - especially the opportunity
to land ZA on the "hallowed" ground at Kitty Hawk where the Wright
brothers made their first flights. I had some great and some challenging
flying , won 2 days and finished "above average" . Thanks also to
Dick Hutch and John Dittrich for helping crew the eastern legs.
John by the way is recovering from a serious fall he suffered on
the trip. Keith has asked for a more full account of the trip and
I'll do that for next month's WINGTIPS . See you at the field.

Aside
From The Rain...
Somehow in between
all the storms and floods, Brad Hays and Chris Carpenter found a
day with some amazing soaring weather and had a tremendous flight.
If you don't believe this, be sure and click on the photos below
for an enlargemnt of some outstanding flying. Yes Virginia, there
are good soaring days in Indiana. Thanks for the good aerials Brad!
