HIGHEST, FARTHEST, LONGEST IN 2002

Who did it in 2002 ? To find out who actually won these awards you'll have to come to the club banquet in February . Here are some soaring achievements by club members off Terry airfield during the past season :

In the HIGHEST category JEFF MELIN reached 8250 ft. msl in the month of June ( the 21st to be exact, and that happens also to be the longest day of the year ! ) Was this good enough to win the award ???

In the LONGEST time up TERRY WOOLS stayed up 4hr 30 min in his ASW 15 on July 14th . Do you think that might be the award winning time ?????

The award for the FARTHEST flight goes to the pilot who made the greatest distance in a single flight ( on a handicap basis ) . During the course of the season the following pilots recorded the following total handicap miles out of Terry :

Ron Clarke (ZA)
Kurt Ristow (8UP)

Scott Ortmann (YK)
