Engine Fires/Broken Gliders
Just a reminder at the start of the season to CREWS and TOWPILOTS - I recently checked the club equipment while out at the field : The Pawnees are already being used by the birds for nests ! I Don't know if we have Condors or Ostriches in the area but the nests are huge. Please check everyday before flying - AND re-install the foam pieces in the air intakes when tieing the Pawnees down. Some of the club gliders were not very securely tied down ( Particularly the PW5) With big winds common this time of the year please go that extra mile to ensure tiedowns are very secure . This way hopefully we will avoid ENGINE FIRES and BROKEN GLIDERS,
