Safety Briefing (continued)

At the CISS Board meeting on March 13, 2003, Dave Newill agreed to modify the "flying log sheets". The DUTY INSTRUCTOR (or any other current CFI) must initial in a place on the form, approving separately each solo flight. The duty instructor will also enter on the form their time of arrival and time of departure from the airport.

We have no "special" criteria for this notation. It is an INSURANCE, NOT FAA requirement. I plan to do it based upon the day's weather conditions and personal knowledge or log book check for currency/endorsements.

Below is a current list of those who will require the initial of an instructor for each solo flight.
