Re: Terry Airport Improvement Location Permit issued 11-16-01.

Dear Mr. Niblick,

I strongly urge you, as the appointed official, to continue to support the construction of a new aviation hanger facility now in progress at Terry Airport, as authorized by an "Improvement Location Permit" issued by the Boone County Area Planning Commission on 11-16-01.

An appeal of this authorization by a few misinformed property owners has jeopardized the financing, the attraction of customers, the committed investment of the owner & operators of the project and the economic livelihood of those owner/operators. The appeal is a continuation of an obvious campaign to disrupt and discourage the business of the airport, which has been in continuous operation for nearly sixty years, with the ultimate goal of forcing the closure of the only general aviation facility in Boone County, Indiana.

Terry Airport and its current and previous owners and operators have been well known and appreciated in the general aviation community of Indiana for providing a safe, friendly haven for aircraft owners and pilots. Many users of the facility have business in Boone County and serve other Boone County businesses as well as the surrounding counties. Others are recreation fliers pursuing one of the most fascinating hobbies one can have. The owner/operators and the users of the airport are respectful of the rights of airport neighbors and sensitive to environmental effects of aircraft operation and comply with all Federal Aviation Regulations.
